Back To My "Mommy" Blog

For a short distance, I used this blog address for my business, which it was created for my personal use hence "confessions" haha!  Well, now I got all fancy and created a true website, I can return back to a half way normal person!

It has been on my heart for a while to start back being a "blogger".  My no means am I am excellent writer, but with this new journey in our life, it is going to be challenging, and harder than ever, so why not write about it, maybe encourage others going through the same thing!

My son Aiden, 4, he is going through the testing and such for Aspergers.  I am 100% positive that he will be diagnosed with it.  I never knew that getting an appointment with Child Family Services would take two months out, so we have been waiting patiently until September 15th.  I am however very close with his pediatrician (who referred us), and he believes that we are right, he does have Aspergers.  So what do I do?!  Freak out because first off, I've watched way to much Parenthood (so good, can't stop watching!!), and second off, this is so new and scary!  Special diets, special treatment, I mean, so much for one tiny person, with two other kids!!

So tonight, I got me a babysitter, headed out for errands to start the journey of our "Gluten Free" diet.  I feel like I need to take out a loan just for his food.  This crap is expensive!!  My son is a snacker, he loves his snacks, so buying healthy snacks, and gluten free snacks, really adds up.  I spent $220 tonight at Target on a few clothing items, and gluten free "organic" stuff.  So now comes the epidemic Pinterset fiasco with pinning (which is what I'm doing after this), to find some recipes that will not break the bank!  I am very glad that I have been slowly cutting bread out of our diet due to my diet (I want to drop a good 50 or so pounds), so that is no big deal.  Blah :(  Bare with me, give me advice, more self help books I suppose!!

So..that was a great intro right?!1  Throw my difficulties out there first huh?

Let me start by, I am Charlotte, a wife to Steven, a mother to three beautiful babies Aiden (4), Sophia (3), and Ella Kate (almost 11 months).  I am a Professional Photographer in Dothan, AL, I specialize in newborns and babies.  I am a Christian, I love Jesus and the fact that I can go to heaven because he died for my sins!  My husband is a great faithful man who provides for us, and is such an excellent hubby/father!  One day I would like to make money off his books (hence Steven King) haha!  We get those jokes all of the time!  Aiden is a fun loving, sweet boy!  He really takes attached to a whole other level, but I love attached parenting..so whatever makes him happy!  My Sophia is a total diva!  She loves all things girly, but will be right there climbing trees, playing in mud, and loves to catch bugs!!  Ella Kate is my last little baby!  My only red headed child and she loves to be loved just like Aiden.

So as I mentioned, we are into attached parenting.  I consider ourselves half way crunchy, and will soon be 100% crunchy!  I am still breastfeeding EK (I say EK short for Ella Kate of course, yes in the south we love our double names!), we cloth diaper, amber teething necklace, essential oils (still learning the ropes), and of course babywear!

Recently I got my new Click Tula in the mail..shes a beaut ;)

So, I think that was a great intro!  I plan to share funny stories, helpful tips, and recipes from my day to day life.  I'm not one to take other images off and share with the recipes so you will be getting my very own food photography (which never looks like what Pinterest did, but man it will taste good haha!).

Today was simple, we had left over Roast, then I hit Chick Fil A on the way home, it was a long day!  Sophia thought she had an awesome idea of waking up at 5 am.  Yeah wasn't so awesome!

So that is that for tonight!  I have no clue who is following, but I'm doing this for ME!  I talk to toddlers all day, and sometimes,  mommy needs to write stuff down!!
